Hello, fans. I am the creator of this Manu Ginobili fan page, one of the most popular on the internet. I am a native of Texas, the second most populous state in the USA. I have been an NBA fan since I was a child. I was a product of the Magic Johnson/Larry Bird era.

To learn more about me, I must outline the 5 most influential NBA players in my lifetime.

5. Charles Barkley - a runway truck! Barkley was a big bad dude. He played with reckless abandon and was a mean force on the court.
4. Larry Bird - my uncle made me a Celtics supporter growing up. He made me appreciate the intelligent play of Bird. Bird wasn't athletic, but he could see two steps of every other player on the court.
3. David Robinson - coming from a Navy family I loved him immediately. He made me a Spurs fan when he was drafted in 1987. he stood for integrity and pride.
2. Michael Jordan - The greatest basketball player to ever touch a ball. 6 for 6 in the NBA Finals says it all. The champion of champions worldwide.
1. Dominique Wilkins - Although Jordan is the greatest, Dominique was the most influential NBA player to me. When I was in Mrs. Postula's English class a classmate of mine named Press-Ham walked across the room in a new pair of sneakers. "Air Jordans?" Mrs. Postula asked. "Nope", exclaimed Press-Ham, "It's all about DOMINIQUE." Who was this Dominique I wondered. I watched SuperStation TBS and found out. The Human Highlight Reel was a big influence on me becoming a complete NBA junkie. He was a reason I moved in with my Dad too because he had cable television so I could watch him and others play. Now that's influential.

Anyway, how does this tie in with Manu Ginobili? I'll tell you. Manu Ginobili exhibits the characteristics of all five of my top 5 most influential NBA players.

Manu Ginobili plays with reckless abandon like Charles Barkley. Manu plays the game intelligently and two steps ahead like Larry Bird. He carries himself with the humility of David Robinson. Manu is the winner and worldwide champion like Michael Jordan. And like Dominique Wilkins, Manu Ginobili is a highlight reel that is SO EXCITING TO WATCH.
